SHARING A BED WITH THE ENEMY

Darcy Jennings just bought a one bedroom condo, a gorgeous cliffside property in the hills north of Santa Barbara. It’s the first time in her life she’s had a permanent home, and it means everything to her. It’s especially sweet after what happened four years ago. That’s behind her now, and the rat who nearly ruined her career, one Will Dougherty, is history.

Will Dougherty just bought a one bedroom condo. He helped build the property with his green, clean designs, and he earmarked this unit as his own. It’s up the road from his newly divorced sister, and it means everything to him. He’s come a long way since the day four years ago when his underhanded coworker, one Darcy Jennings, got him fired. Thankfully, he’ll never have to see her again.

They couldn’t be more wrong, as Darcy discovers when she stumbles into her condo after a long business trip, crawls into bed, and discovers a man there. WIll Dougherty. And he says it’s not her bed, it’s his.

Now Will and Darcy have to live together twenty-four hours a day until one of them admits defeat. If only they could keep their hands off each other...

I have mixed feelings about this one. First, I liked the storyline, both buy the same condo and neither one wants to move out. Plus they have history, bad history. Actually, since he built part of it, picked out all the fixtures, etc. it seems to me as tho the condo was his. Because the real estate agent sold it doesn't make it belong to her.

This could have been a cute story. However, I found myself disliking the heroine. I couldn't find a redeeming quality about this gal. She was a -itch with a capital B. Her father was an a--hole with a capital A. They had no regard for anyone but themselves. It is ok to run over anyone in your path if they got in your way. The heck with doing the right thing. In fact, she looked down her nose at the hero because he believed in doing the right thing. As long as you get your way the heck with anyone else seemed to be her family motto.

She just really annoyed the heck out of me. I can't see one reason why he would be attracted to her. She had the personality of a cactus, the morals of a crime lord, etc. Just nothing to advance her cause. He on the other hand I liked. I think he got screwed in the deal that involved their history but I haven't found that out for sure. After she moved her furniture into the condo. I found I was not enjoying the story but I was just getting more and more annoyed so I quit reading. This one was just not for me. I really hope he tosses her out on her butt along with all her junk and he has her arrested for trespassing. I'm sure that is not the way the story will go but I'm not going to find out. Others liked it so it just didn't appeal to me.

What Yours is Mine eBook Talia Surova Reviews

This is the first book by this author that I have read and after I finished, I immediately went to to see what else she had written. The book captures you right from the beginning and holds you tightly until the end. And when I finished, I flipped back through to find some of my favorite passages to reread.

Darcy and WIll have a tumultulous past, having parted on bad terms, which you quickly come to realize a lot more was going on then either of them realized. Usually I'm not a fan of drama created due to simple miscommunication, but the author put a really nice twist on it that kept you guessing until near the end who was actually "the villain".

The most enjoable aspect of the book was watching both characters grow, but they needed one another to help them grow, to see that perhaps they weren't as happy and in control of their lives as they each thought. They needed the other to make them want to be better people or bring those better qualities they had more to the surface.

I had great fun with Will being very green-conscious, doing his yoga, and meditation, and eating his whole foods all the whole frowning at Darcy and her fast food take out and constant attachment to her phone and laptop. It was a lovely change of pace to the usual strong, brooding, controlling, alpha male. Will loved his control, but with his POVs, you saw that he needed it because he didn't like the person he had been in the past when he had lost his control. He used it to make himself calmer and a more reasonable, healthier person. And it was immensely enjoyable to watch Darcy be able to slid right under his skin with little effort and make Will start to reassess himself and reactions.

I found the dialogue and inner monologues lively and did not come across a part of the book that I felt could have been written better or edited out. The interaction between all the characters was spunky and kept the book flowing at a strong entertaining pace.

Very little in the way of grammatical errors. A couple sex scenes, which fit smoothly into the story line without feeling forced or overdone. I look forward to more books by Ms. Quinn.
My first read of a Talia Quinn book. I found her a good writer with a story to tell. Had some difficulty getting in to the story line so I put it down and came back a few days later to find that I just needed to give the story time to develop. Now I have decided I really liked this book and have purchased a second Talia Quinn book. Hope it will be just as entertaining.
I loved the premise of this book-- two people who truly believe they own the same condo and won't give it up without a fight. AND they happen to be a couple with a past full of chemistry and bad blood. I had to keep reading to find out how on earth they were going to work things out and find a happily ever after, and because every time they were on the page together, sparks flew! I really liked each of the main characters and had sympathy for their individual situations, so it was easy to pull for them to make it. If you want a fast, fun, and sexy contemporary romance check this book out.
Ladies, what would you do if you discovered the dream condo you just bought was also sold to a hot guy you had history with? And you both moved in on the same day and refused to leave—actually making a deal that if one of you leaves, the other gets the condo. Hence Darcy and Will set up housekeeping amidst animosity, banter, and incredible sexual tension. Who will win the war? Will Yoga-performing, health food-eating Will give in to greasy junk food-eating Darcy? Or will she cave first? And what’s to be done about their less-than-perfect history that unravels throughout the story – along with their will to keep from jumping into bed together. A clever and enjoyable debut novel, to be sure!
I always wondered what it would be like to have hate sex and luckily for me Darcy and Will had some hot hate sex, "you son of a bit**. You lying piece of -" And then she kissed him, mashing her mouth against his in a way that should have been a complete turn-off but instead was rough and hot, and boy was he ever going to regret this, but his co** throbbed so hard it hurt, and Darcy was grinding against him as she tangled her fingers in his hair and yanked him closer." I mean Darcy she likes to look at Will's goods, "he took off his bathrobe, showing an expanse of chest and that lovely flat abdomen, with a narrow line of hair leading down to - Unfortunately, his boxers covered the rest. His boxers which were, um, starting to tent...?" I liked reading this book, it was a great entertaining read.
